BDA Brick Award Trophies (November 2023)

Designed and made by Maria Gasparian, the trophy for annual Brick Awards, which celebrate best brick architecture, embodies the creative possibilities of brick as a material.
The geometry of the piece is based on the idea that brick can be read on both a micro and macro scale, with the base of the trophy representing a house: a structure made out of brick.

Clerkenwell Design Week (May 2023)

Maria Gasparian Studio returned to Clerkenwell Design Week in May 2023, launching new decorative paviour and planter designs.

Clerkenwell Design Week, London (May 2022)

  Maria Gasparian Studio took a residency at the EH Smith Design Centre in Clerkenwell design district in London in 24-26 of May 2022. The display of ceramic artwork, bespoke decorative bricks and tiles can be seen at the Design Centre until September 2022. 38-42 St John Street, London, EC1M 4DL.

Surface Design Show 2022, London

Maria Gasparian Studio is honoured to have a stall at the prestigious annual Surface Design Show at the Building Design Centre, London, with a collection of colourful, tactile bespoke bricks, tiles and brick artwork.

(In)Visible Processes, Lethaby Gallery (November 2021-January 2022)

Maria took part in the (In)Visible Processes exhibition at the Lethaby Gallery with an installation of decorative bricks and scale model bricks used as conversational pieces. (In)Visible Processes was the PhD exhibition of Central Saint Martins, focusing on the use of practice as research.

NOVA X, Lethaby Gallery (September-October 2021)

  The NOVA X exhibition at the Lethaby Gallery in London showcased Maria Gasparian Studio’s latest ceramic pieces and craft techniques after winning a MullenLowe NOVA award in 2016.

Displaying as one of the winners of the Future Lights in Ceramics European competition 2018, the work celebrates 100 years of Bauhaus school.

Maria Gasparian at the Brick Works 2019, Cambridge

Maria will be presenting a talk at the University of Cambridge, Queens’ College on the 16th of October 2019, at the Brick Works series run by the Brick Development Association. The talk will focus on innovation in ceramic design in relation to industrial manufacturing.

Ceramic City Bench

The bench was enjoyed by visitors and people leaving and working in the area during the London Festival of Architecture 2018 and was shortlisted for the UK Brick Award 2018.
