Ceramic Workshop - Maria Gasparian x Studio Pottery

In a recent hands-on workshop led by Maria Gasparian at Studio Pottery London on the 19th September 2024, participants had the opportunity to explore the art of Armenian clay tile-making. Maria guided attendees through the process of shaping and decorating tiles using underglaze colors and ornamental stamps, encouraging them to infuse their creations with personal stories and cultural backgrounds. As an Armenian artist and architect, Maria's approach blends her expertise in ceramics with a commitment to creating socially inclusive, vibrant environments. The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, accompanied by drinks and nibbles, as part of the Armenian Institute's Living | Building | Together Festival of Architecture, funded by the British Council.
