Month Update - April 2024

April 2024 brought a flurry of activity for Maria Gasparian Studio, with Maria giving multiple talks and leading a panel discussion in London.

On the 11th April, Maria discussed her innovative ceramic practice, combining industrial and hand-made processes, at the University of East London. A week later on the 19th April, in the panel discussion ‘Ceramics In Architecture: Art In Every Detail’ with Claire Twomey MBE and Jon Wilson of Darwen Terracotta, Maria covered the history and future of architectural ceramics as part of the Ceramic Art London 2024 event. To close an exciting month, the Battersea Society invited Maria to give a lecture on the 25th April about her research into how Victorian mosaic artwork of Battersea has inspired her ongoing public art comission.
